Afghan Kazak (AP-54)
This design is derived from a late 19th century Caucasian Kazak. The red field displays three diamond shaped medallions with latch hooks down the center. the remainder of the field is decorated with geometric and animal motifs. The main border is light grey with a leaf and tulip design. This rug was made in Northern Afghanistan by Turkmen people using only natural dyes.
