Southwest Looms
The Persian Carpet designs and weaves three lines of Southwestern rugs, under the banner of Southwest Looms. With these lines we cater to anyone with an interest in Navajo rugs and Southwestern American Indian tribal patterns and weaves. These lines fall into the following categories:
Dreamcatcher Line
The Dreamcatcher Collection offers fine reproductions of Native American rug designs, hand-woven using New Zealand wool. Careful attention has been devoted to authenticate the details of original Native weaving, including lazy lines, corner tassles and side binding. These rugs are available in all standard sizes, up to 10x14 and runners. Custom sizes are available.
Naturals Line
The Naturals Line focuses on reproductions of very early Navajo designs made only using un-dyed wool. To learn more about this line click here.
Indigo Line
These flat woven all wool rugs are anchored, with a nod to the past and a fresh gaze to the future. Incorporating the rich blues of sea and sky, these traditional patterns are remarkably fresh and clean, and in keeping with the current aesthetic of minimalist, mountain living. Constructed using a double ply wool, the rugs offer a soft luxurious feel. Seven designs stocked in multiple sizes from 4x6 to 9x12. Pendleton® Reserve Collection
Southwest Looms has teamed up with Pendleton Woolen Mills to produce historic Pendleton trade blanket designs in the form of luxury hand-woven rugs – a first! The rugs are hand knotted in India using New Zealand wool. The wool is handspun, yielding varying diameters, so that when dyed a delightful color is achieved, giving the completed rug a rich and subtle blend of tones. Twenty designs are available in all standard sizes and runners. Custom sizes are also available.
Pendleton® Classic Collection
Southwest Looms and Pendleton Woolen Mills have also combined their talents to produce a line of hand-tufted rugs, also drawn from historic trade blanket designs. The hand tufted construction produces a thick soft pile that is silky smooth to the touch, it also offers a lower price point than the hand knotted Pendleton Reserve collection.
