Arts & Crafts
The Persian Carpet offers the premiere selection of handmade rugs in the Arts & Crafts tradition. We have experimented with over one hundred designs and are always making new prototypes. There are two categories under Arts & Crafts:
The Persian Carpet has remained in business for forty years due to a combination of expertise and diversity of interest when it comes to the world of rugs. Yes, it is true that The Persian Carpet has a large inventory of antique Persian and Caucasian rugs and has traditionally dealt in antique pieces. But we have also cultivated an interest in more niche markets, such as Nichols Art Deco rugs, Southwestern Navajo, and Arts & Crafts designs.
For twenty years The Persian Carpet has been meticulously developing hand-woven rugs, using New Zealand wool, to reproduce some Arts & Crafts originals, but also some of our own designs, either inspired by a Frank Lloyd Wright window pane, an Art Nouveau tile, or a classic reproduction of a William Morris original such as the Black Tree.
